CHAPTER 108
Pauliny Nunes

Zora, pleased with her action, approached me, her eyes gleaming with cruel pleasure. She had a plan, and I knew I had to act cautiously to avoid further losses.

A laughter echoed from Zora's lips, resonating through the clearing like a sinister symphony. "Oh, Fierce, you're so predictable. No, I won't let you kill me. And I won't kill you now either. I have other plans for both of us."

I stared at her, defiant. "What do you intend, then?"

Zora's smile widened, revealing her morbid satisfaction. "First, I will eliminate the three pests in the den in front of you. Then, I will kill you. After that, when Hunter arrives, I'll tell him that Cierce went mad and killed everyone."

Zora revealed her intention to eliminate the triplets inside the den. A cruel and calculated plan, destined to strike at my heart and deceive Hunter.

"Do you think this will work?" I muttered, my eyes narrowing in a challenge. "Hunter won't believe such an absurd lie."

Zora laughed, as if the despair forming in my eyes was just a joke. "Dear Fierce, believe me, Hunter will see exactly what I want him to see."

Without hesitation, Zora turned towards the den entrance, where my innocent children were vulnerable to her cruelty. The urgency to protect them overcame any hesitation. I didn't have time to consider the consequences, I just acted on instinct.

Without thinking twice, I grabbed onto Zora's shoulders, my inner wolf roaring with indignation and anger, yet not coming to my aid. Zora, surprised by my reaction, tried to shake me off, but I held on, digging my nails in.

"You won't do this," growled my inner wolf, and I silently agreed.

Forced to bear my weight, Zora stumbled forward. Her resistance was evident, but my determination was stronger. The wolf in me grew, still not fully awakened in the face of the imminent threat to her pack.

I wouldn't let Zora lay a finger on my children, no matter what it took.

I was there, in my human form, trying to hold Zora down. Her eyes burned with cruel fury as she maintained her wolf form. I knew Zora was stronger, but the determination to protect my children compelled me to resist. Zora, however, mocked my futile attempt to stop her.

"Do you really think you'll prevent me from getting the triplets and eliminating them?" Zora taunted, her growls echoing in the den walls.

I glared at her with fury in my eyes. "You won't get near my children."

A sadistic smile appeared on Zora's lips as she violently threw me against the den wall. The impact reverberated through my entire body. The pulsating pain spread through me, but I knew I couldn't afford to stay on the ground. With determination, I got up, ignoring the pain.

"For being strong, you only have thename," Zora mocked.

No matter what she said, I wouldn't let her harm my children. The battle was uneven, I knew, but the inner strength fueled by motherhood was my ally.

I didn't let her words shakeme. "It doesn't matter. I'll die protecting my children."

Zora shrugged, as if my resistance was just an insignificant detail. "So be it. Theorder of factors won't alter the product."

She advanced towards me, ready to fulfill her threats, when three powerful growls echoed behind her. My eyes widened at the sight of mychildren, transformed into little gray wolf pups, ready to defend me.

Dorian, with his determined gaze, added,"You won't hurt her."

Kane gave me a reassuring look. "Don't worry,Mom. We'll protect you."

Zora, surprised by the unexpected appearance of the wolf pups, took a few steps back. For a moment, tension hung in the air until she let out a cruel laugh. "Littlewolves wanting to play heroes. How adorable. But you can't do anything against me."

"You need to step back," I insisted, my worried gaze fixed on the wolf pups.

Cassian, the boldest of thetriplets, responded firmly, "No, Mom, we need to help."

Zora, with her disdainful look, addressed Cassian, "Listen to your mother, child. It's better for all of you."

Kane intervened confidently, "We'renot afraid of you."

Without waiting, Zora advanced, her lupine form moving with deadly agility. The wolf pups, however, didn't retreat. Instead, they ran towards her, courage shining in their eyes. The battle began, growls and howls filling the clearing as the wolf pups tried to protect me from Zora's imminent attack.

Cassian, with his daring nature, advanced first, biting Zora's paw, while Dorian and Kane took turns in coordinated attacks on her back and other paws. Zora, surprised by the resistance of the wolf pups, struggled to maintain her dominant posture.

My heart pounded, torn between concern for my children and the determination to resist the threat Zora posed. I, helpless in my human form, wished I could shift into a wolf and fight alongside my children.

The fight continued, a fierce dance between Zora and the wolf pups. I watched, with a heavy heart, as my children, despite their remarkable courage, faced an opponent whose cruelty knew no bounds.

In a sudden move, Zora started throwing my children against the wall, as if they were disposable pieces in acruel game. My heart ached with every impact, as I fought to prevent Zora from causing more harm to my beloved children. She stared at them with a perverse smile, as if she were enjoying the suffering she inflicted.

Determined to prevent any harm to my children, I stood in front of them, facing Zora firmly. "I won't let you get close to them."

Zora belittled my resistance, mocking my supposed weakness.

"You're too weak to even try to stop me," Zora taunted.

Zora, however, wasn't satisfied. She approached Kane, the youngest among the wolf pups, and held himbetween her paws. Desperation took over me when I realized Zora was willing to go to extreme lengths to hurt me. I stared at my helpless son in her grasp, feeling my body react to the pain and despair.

Her eyes reflected ruthless cruelty, and she challenged, "See what's about to happen, all because of you."
