Chapter 94
Lyra woke up with a severe headache, back pain, and puffy and red eyes. She had a runny nose as she had cried a lot the night before. She felt miserable as she searched for her phone on the bed that had been ringing for a while now.
"Hm, good morning" she yawned
"This is Doctor Dennis, the DNA results are out. If you would like, you can come to pick it up today"
Lyra jumped off the bed the moment she heard the man say that.
She went to her room to have her bath, she noticed Bryan wasn't there. When she checked the time it was 11 am, She had slept for a long time.
She dressed up after taking a shower and walked downstairs. She met Ryan and the kids with Tia.
Lyra nodded before saying "I'm doing good now, thank you"
"Mommy, are you going out?" Ryan asked with a blushing face. Lyra smiled at this before nodding
"Yes, I'm going out. I'll be back soon. And do not feel shy to call me mommy, son"
She pecked them all before making her way out but Tia followed behind
"How are you doing today?"
"Better than yesterday," Lyra said before entering the car
"I'm fine, Tia. You worry too much" Lyra said as she ignited the car.
Lyra made her way to the hospital to get the DNA results. She refused to open it as she walked out of the hospital, she received a call from Henri
"Hey"
"How are you?" Henri asked but she didn't answer his question instead she asked
"Didyou getanything?"
"Meet me at Greene Restaurant"
Lyra didn't waste any time and made her way to the restaurant Henri had told her to meet him.
"What did you find?" She asked immediately as she sat down.
Henri looked at her before saying "You should order something to eat first"
His words made her pause, she looked up at him andtears rushed down her cheeks
She nodded before cleaning her eyes
"Thank you" shewhispered in a hoarse voice before asking
"What did you find?"
"Bryan has been working with Ella truly" he began as he brought out some documents from his bag and passed it to Lyra.
"I think you'll find all you need to know about him in there"
"Thank you, Henri"
"It's okay, we are family after all" Lyra nodded as she checked the content of the documents
Her eyes darkened at every page she turned, Bryan was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
After all, she had done for him, he stabbed her right in her heart. She took in deep breaths as she closed her eyes only to open them again, her eyes were cold and ruthless
Henri nodded, "About the kids...." He didn't know how he would ask but he wanted to know. He was hoping that Bruce would be the father of the kids
"Negative," she said only for Henri's face to fall.
"I'm sorry. I just thought..."
"It's okay. I understand. I don't carewho the father might be. I'll take care of my kids on my own. We do not need a father"
"Hope you are home? Lyrawould need you"
Lyra decided to open the DNA result of Bryan and the kids in her car. She raised the side of her lips when she saw that there was no relationship between the kids and him.
"Basta. rd" she muttered.
When she got there, she was told to go and see the police officer in charge first, she frown at this but went anyway. When the man came to meet with her, he related to Lyra that Ella had committed suicide in the prison last night.
Lyra's face fell as she couldn't comprehend what the man in front of her was saying to her
"What?!" She exclaimed in shock.
Again Lyra remembered Ella's words to her the last time she came
"You, Lyra, are my favorite sister. And in the next world, I'll still choose you as my favorite sister. You should be happy I won't be at your neck anymore. I've left you to have your peace. Well, a little..."
Lyra made her way back to the car in a daze. Ella killed herself or was it, Bryan? She wondered. She shook in anger when sheremembered that Bryan had once tried to kill her, did he succeed?
'Bryan, I'll make sure you rot in jail!'
