Chapter 99
Lyra came back home late, she had a very hectic day at work. When she stepped into the house, the lights were off. She frowned before turning on her phone torch. She made her way to the light switch and turned on the lights.
She gasped when she saw the beautifully arranged dining. She wondered why they had set the table so beautifully today and dropped only two chairs there.
She was already salivating from the food's aroma alone. She called
"Tia, Ryan?" Still no reply, her brows furrowed.
She dropped her bag on the table before turning to go upstairs but instead she saw Bruce coming downstairs. Her heart skipped multiple beats as she swallowed.
He was shirtless with water dripping down from his hair and rolling down to his lower abdomen.
"Wha- what are you doing here?" She tried not to stammer as her face burned.
"I came to take my wife back," Bruce announced without any shame. Lyra blinked multiple times in a second as she didn't know what to do with a hot almost naked man in her apartment.
"Where are the kids?" She asked.
Bruce began walking towards her but she made sure to also move back with every step he took towards her.
"They are with their aunt Tia" he replied
"Oh," she continued to move back while he didn't stop moving to her.
"Where is their aunt Tia?" She asked again when she realized that being with Tia doesn't tell where they were
"She is with Henri" Bruce replied as he caged her with both hands resting on the wall behind her.
"Whe- where is Henri?"
Lyra tried to run away from him but he held her steady
"Where to?" He asked
"I... I... hm... I miss my children. I want to see them" she quickly said as she shifted her gaze left and right with her head down.
Bruce smirked,"Why do I feel youare lying?" He asked
"God. God. God" she kept muttering under her breath and Bruce smirked. He never knew he had this much effect on her
He had been trying so hard to woo her but she always gave him a cold shoulder. If not that his children had planned that he spends the whole time with her convincing her that he really likes her he would have never known. They volunteered to cook and leave the house after cooking for both of them.
"Let's eat," he said before moving away from her. Lyra released the breath she had been holding before following Bruce to the dining.
"Eat more, you'll need your strength later" he added, causing Lyra to look up at him.
He smiled and said "The children are demanding another twin"
Lyra's eyes widened, she opened her mouth to speak only to close it up again
"Did the children put you up to this?" She found her strength to ask.
"He is going to takecare of us and never leave this time" Miles added
"Hey! It's not your turn yet!" Miley complained
"There are no turns. You talk and I talk also" Miles reasoned
"Oh okay, okay. So, mommy, we would be leaving the house for you and daddy to get back together. We would prepare you something delicious with love" Miley spoke in a hurry
"Don't forget to give usour baby twins. We want a boy and a girl" Miles said also
Lyra's eyes and mouth were wide open, the next question that came out of her mouth was
"Twins? I'mnot birthing any more children!"
Bruce didn't know whether to laugh at this or frown.
"I'll give you a chance to woo me only because of the children"
Bruce could not help the grin that spread on his handsome face
"I would do my best" he winked at her but she snort
